Schools sought for 2011 Ashden Awards

Has your school made sustainable energy a practical reality as well as a topic to learn about in the classroom? Then enter the 2011 Ashden Awards for Sustainable Energy and win money to expand your scheme and get the chance to meet sustainable energy pioneers from around the world. Details of the 2011 awards categories and how to apply can be downloaded from http://www.ashdenawards.org/apply The closing date for 2011 applications is 26 October 2010. This year's winners include communities taking action to cut their carbon emissions through behaviour change and technical measures; businesses inventing and installing renewable energy equipment; local councils rolling out insulation and wood-fuelled heating, and both primary and secondary schools teaching the next generation to save energy and care for the environment.
