On the 7th October 2009, the Flick The Switch Opening Ceremony took place at the Corinthia Hotel, St. Georges Bay in Malta. This event marked the official start of the Flick The Switch school energy efficiency campaign that will last the whole 2009-2010 school year.
Schools and educational stakeholders from all over Europe attended this pan-European event and discussed about energy savings in schools and how to get European kids from primary and secondary schools into the habit of switching off lights and devices when they are not in use.
