Green Day has been developed by CABE (Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment) as a one-day event for schools about climate change, sustainability and the built environment. The day will coincide with World Environment Day in June. CABE plan to run the event in 8 core cities (Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Nottingham, Manchester, Sheffield, Newcastle and Liverpool). If your school is in one of these cities and you are interested in taking part, email Alex Reynolds at areynolds@cabe.org.uk for more information.
Most schools that register will be selected to take part in the Green Day initiative and will receive 200 pounds to cover attendance at a Green Day introductory teacher-training workshop.
If your school is not in one of these cities you can still download the Green Day activity kit to use at your event.
