PowerDown climate change toolkit for schools

PowerDown brings to life some of the causes and impacts of climate change and explores the extraordinary potential for schools to shape some of the solutions. It enables learners to investigate energy use at home and in their school and how this can be linked to extreme weather events thousands of miles away.

The toolkit has been produced by ActionAid, a charity working in 40 countries to help secure a just and sustainable world. It comprises a teachers' booklet with lesson ideas, activity sheets and curriculum links; 22 thought-provoking photo cards showing the causes and impacts of climate change, links to energy use and inspiring solutions; a DVD featuring films, slideshows, teachers' guide and photo cards in digital format and PowerDown design templates.
