STEM campaign for schools

The DCSF has launched its STEM campaign for 11-16-year-olds. Featuring television, cinema, digital and radio advertisements and PR activity, the campaign aims to increase the take-up of science and mathematics at A level.
The campaign showcases STEM 'heroes' through the www.scienceandmaths.net website, which shows how studying science and mathematics can lead to interesting and rewarding STEM careers. It includes examples of careers in power generation and fighting climate change.

To support the campaign the DCSF has produced a series of posters and postcards that can be placed throughout the school and an explanatory leaflet for teachers. Copies can be ordered from the Online Publications for Schools website at www.teachernet.gov.uk
