In partnership with CREATE, the Energy Institute (EI) has developed Energyzone (www.energyzone.net) – a new interactive careers website, providing an one-stop shop offering the most comprehensive guide to energy education and training.
With climate change continuing to dominate headlines, the energy industry needs to find the brightest and best young talent in order to respond to the world’s future energy challenges. Combined with large scale downsizing and lack of recruitment in the sector since the 1980s, the energy industry now finds itself with an ageing workforce rapidly approaching retirement and is experiencing a shortage of skilled new recruits with a decline in the take-up of science, engineering and technical careers among young people.
Energyzone has been developed in response to this challenge by the EI and partners CREATE, and is supported by Total Holdings UK and Shell.
Energyzone is dedicated to energy of all types – from oil and gas exploration to innovation in the development of renewable and alternative energy sources. Offering an insight into its breadth and scope of careers, this service also provides information to schools wanting to know more about energy, along with details of how to advance your career in the energy industry.
